The Dying Of Swan Lake

Currently Postponed

Abrons Arts Center, Playhouse Theatre

466 Grand St

NY, NY 10002

ALB artist Allan McCormick has teamed up with director Valerie Mae Browne to create a new version of Swan Lake for American Liberty Ballet. Currently set as a one act ballet, this version combines the delicate beauty of ballet's dearest tradition, with harsher tones brought on by our sadness for the loss of man's relationship with nature.

The evening will also include works by ALB Artists: Erika Keller, Kayla Armgardt, Lindsay Johnson, Allie Hutchins, Valerie Mae Browne, Quimen Sanchez, and Analia Farfan. Each piece a stunning testimony to skill and sensitivity.

American Liberty Ballet is a New York City and New Jersey based company, exploring the realm of Vehicular Ballet. In Vehicular Ballet, anything and any body, may be used to portray an idea while still paying homage to the athleticism and virtuosity of the classic form. American Liberty Ballet intends to revolutionize the public perception of ballet, here in NYC and eventually, the world! ALB looks forward to sharing our vision and love of dance with many audiences to come.

Performance Opportunities

At ALB, we believe that participating in professional performances is an integral part of a dancers training. We believe in concert dance as the correct venue for performance experience. We believe that teaching dancers to perform will greatly increase their successes outside the studio as well as within.
